Water Plant Operator III

Description
The City of Dublin has an opening for a Water Treatment Plant Operator. This individual will perform skilled and technical work in the operation and maintenance of the City's water treatment plants. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining a variety of pumps, valves, filters, chemical feeders, and other water plant equipment. And conducting chemical and bacteriological tests on a variety of water samples. Work is performed under the direction of the Water Plant Supervisor. Rotating shift work is required.
Starting salary is $37,222.61 annually for a trainee or $41,428.74 annually for a Class III Operator. An extensive fringe benefit package including health, dental and life insurance is also offered.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have a high school diploma or GED. Possession of a valid State of Georgia Driver's License. Requires a Class “III” Operator's License in both water and wastewater treatment as issued by the State of Georgia or the ability to acquire both licenses within one (1) year of employment.
