Description
The City of Dublin is seeking a Field Inspector. This full-time position, working under the director of the Building Inspector in the Planning and Development Department, is reponsible for inspecting residential, commercial, and industrial construction work, as well as the review of construction documents and plans, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
The person filling this role will perform technical work involved in the enforcement of plumbing, electrical, and residential construction codes as outlined in City and State codes and regulations. Work involves inspecting a variety of plumbing and electrical installations with the objective of maintaining standards of work with regard to quality of material, workmanship, and safety precautions, as set forth in applicable codes. Work involves public contact and requires the exercise of independent judgment subject to the controlling limitations of ordinance provisions and standard practices.
Preferred candidate must have a High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related construction experience in the areas of building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, superintendent, project manager, inspections, or a combination of the above. Salary range is based on qualifications and experience. The successful applicant must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and must pass a drug screen.
The position will remain open until filled.
Minimum Requirements
