AWARDED GMA LIFE & HEALTH INSURANCE FUND’S HEALTH WELLNESS GRANT

DUBLIN, GA – The City of Dublin, GA has been awarded a 2024 Health Wellness Grant by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). This grant supports the Wellness Program’s commitment to facilitating positive change in the workplace and going the extra mile for employees’ health and wellness.

Such awards are made statewide to Participating Employers enrolled in one or more medical plans through the GMEBS (Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit Services) Life and Health Insurance Fund, and GMA is honored to collaborate with the City of Dublin, GA on its health wellness journey.

The Health Wellness Program at GMA helps members embrace a variety of skills, mindsets, and cultures to encourage utmost well-being through workplace health and wellness initiatives. These initiatives have a demonstrated track record of improving employee well-being and quality of life while enhancing workplace morale, reducing medical claims, and maximizing cost impact.

The City of Dublin, GA, has appointed a Health Wellness Champion to coordinate and oversee the program while collaborating with the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) to plan targeted activities. The Wellness Team, which includes Verlinda Chatman, Renia Cook, and Brooke Jones, has discussed the benefits of implementing workplace health and wellness options for the City of Dublin. This team is excited to continue such beneficial activities with the support of grant funding.
