Debris Collection & Removal

All debris caused by Hurricane Helene should be gathered and placed by the roadway in such a manner that the travel lanes are not blocked.  All large limbs and tree trunks should be cut to a maximum length of 6 feet for city crews to collect.  Any debris larger than this will not be collected by city workers.

Currently, only city crews are working to collect this debris within the city.  We are working on alternative solutions to expedite this process, but until we have something else in place, we ask for everyone’s patience as there is estimated to be over 150,000 cubic yards of debris to collect.

We are not able to honor calls to come to a specific location as we have routes we are following to make one pass by every city street initially.  If anyone would like their debris collected faster than we can get to it, you may contract for those services separately and have the debris hauled to the Laurens County Landfill.

Once we have made an initial pass through every city street, we will begin the second and third passes as needed.  Again, please be patient with us as we anticipate this collection process will take months to complete.

The debris collection site located on County Landfill Road is for City and County forces only.

Contractors and private citizens may haul debris to the Laurens County Landfill at 1645 Old Hawkinsville Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
