Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks the Beginning of the North Side Fire Station in Dublin, GA.

The City of Dublin is excited to announce the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the much-anticipated Northside Fire Station scheduled for August 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The ceremony will be held at 1317 North Jefferson Street, and members of the community, local leaders, and media are invited to join us in celebrating this significant milestone.

The North Side Fire Station is poised to bring invaluable benefits to our community by strategic placement of emergency resources where they can respond when needed most efficiently.  This initiative highlights our commitment to the city’s three strategic goals: Strong Neighborhoods, Quality Growth, and Sound Governance.

“This has been a project the city has discussed doing for almost thirty years.  I’m proud of the work of our city staff to finally make this project happen.  We sought federal funds to provide just over half of the project’s total cost and are utilizing SPLOST dollars for the remainder.  The placement of a fire station at this location will ensure city fire and rescue resources are positioned to have the shortest response times possible.  Where seconds can mean the difference between life and death, this investment in our public safety is critical.  I applaud our mayor and council for getting behind this project and seeing it through to the finish line,” City Manager, Josh W. Powell.

The ceremony will feature remarks from our very own City of Dublin Mayor and Fire Chief, as well as a member from Senator Ossoff’s team, State Director Chandra Harris, Esq; a ceremonial groundbreaking event will also transpire. We encourage all community members to join us for this historic occasion.
