FROM MAYOR JOSHUA KIGHT
I’m proud to announce that the City of Dublin will again fully roll back the city’s millage tax rate. Especially as our town recovers from the effects of Hurricane Helene, we need to keep the tax burden on our citizens as low as possible. The tax rate will drop from 5.948 mils last year to 4.6 mils this year. This will be the seventh year in a row that the Dublin City Council has decreased the city tax rate.
City council’s strategic use of grants and enterprise funds has allowed our town to continue to invest in neighborhoods, police, fire protection, and parks, while at the same time keeping taxes low. We have also been blessed to experience natural growth, with new businesses and housing. If we keep our taxes low, more growth will continue.
