Weather Update from City Manager Josh Powell
The City of Dublin is closely monitoring the impending weather for our region. The latest models project a chance of snow for Dublin and Laurens County beginning at the earliest in the mid-morning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and accumulations may be an inch or more. Whatever precipitation that may occur will likely freeze and pose the greatest risk of danger on the roadways. Unnecessary travel on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning should be avoided for everyone’s safety. We ask this so you don’t pull resources from police and fire in the event you have an accident or other emergency.
TIPS AND RESOURCES
WaterUtilities: Protect your exposed pipes by wrapping them to prevent damage. If you notice any signs of a water leak, report it immediately to (478) 277-5050. Additionally, please turn off all irrigation sprinklers.
Fire Safety: If you are using a space heater in your home, ensure that it is kept at least three feet away from all flammable objects and walls. Also, make sure that your smoke detectors are functioning properly.
Emergency Services: Police and Fire response times to non-emergency calls may be longer than usual.
Available Resources: Jefferson Street Baptist Church is providing a warming station this evening, Monday, January 20, 2025.
