HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD by Mayor

OCGA 8-3-50(a) – The Mayor (alone) appoints the members of the housing authority with no subsequent approval required by the council.  The mayor appoints five members and may appoint up to two additional members (they are called commissioners in the code), of whom at least one is directly assisted by the public housing authority to be known as the “Resident Commissioner”.  The mayor fills vacancies that occur as well.
