Beauty dies where litter lies

Adopt Dublin is an initiative supported by the Dublin Department of Public Works and Keep Dublin-Laurens Beautiful for the abatement of litter on public rights of way. The idea for this enterprise was derived from the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

The Adopt Dublin Program enlists citizen volunteers' help to remove litter from local roadsides. While saving taxpayer dollars, the program provides recognition for partnering companies and organizations, brings the environmental and monetary costs of littering into public awareness, and promotes civic responsibility and pride. The volunteers of the Adopt Dublin program serve as visible reminders to the public that we are all stewards of the land.

Current partners in the Adopt Dublin initiative include: Alterra Networks, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scout Troup 60224, the Jones Family, 4H Laurens County, Home Depot, Premier Properties, YKK, Scottsville Neighborhood, Erdrich, and Rise Up Dublin.
